Marios G. Nisiotis, 81, of Macungie, passed away Feb. 26 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. Born in Filia, Mytilene, Greece, he was a son of the late George and Anna (Katsoulerou) Georgiadis. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years,Antigoni in 2014. He was a self-employed restaurant owner of the Apple Dumpling, Boyertown, and also worked as a plumber, baker, and shoe maker after arriving in the United States in 1969. He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, in Bethlehem, PA. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren

 

Survivors: son George and wife Lori of Macungie; daughter Eva Vardaxis and husband Alex of Barto; a brother Kostas in Greece; and grandchildren Alexa, Gabriana, Ourania, Angelos, Marios, and Ignatios. He was predeceased by a sister Aphroditi and brother Miltiadis.

 

Services: viewing on Wednesday, Mar. 2 from 6-8 p.m. at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1607 W. Union Blvd., Bethlehem with another viewing from 10-11 a.m. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus.
