Albert Z. Farah

Albert Z. Farah, 73, of Catasauqua, passed away Nov. 9 at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Rachel F. Farah, they were married 55 years last May. Born in Tripoli, Lebanon, he was a son of the late Zaki Farah and Milaneh Moukbel. Albert was employed by Bethlehem Furniture for many years, and was a founder of the National Woodwork Manufacturing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 528, and a past Faithful Navigator of the Bishop Thomas Welsh Assembly, and a member of the Catasauqua Lion's Club.

Albert came from Lebanon in 1971 with his family, and loved to travel to Europe, the Mediterranean, Caribbean and the Middle East. He was an active tennis player and bowler.

 

Survivors: his wife Rachel; sons Joseph Farah and children Amanda, Frederick (Freddy) & Daniel (Danny); daughter Helene Cummings (Farah) and her husband Thomas and their children Nicholas, Jacob & Kevin; son Tony Farah and his wife Cheryl and their children Christopher, Jonathan & Brandon. He was predeceased by his son Freddy in 1985.

 

Services: viewing 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem with viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 in the church. Interment at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Allentown.
