Ricky Lee Fields
02/13/2017

Ricky Lee Fields, of Bethlehem, passed away Feb. 13 at St. Luke's Hospice House after a hard fought battle with cancer. Born in Lebanon, Pa, he was the son of the late Ray and Lu Ann (Shirk) Fields. After graduating from Middlesex High School in New Jersey, where he was active in football, baseball and basketball, he attended Juniata College and studied Business Administration.  He then moved to Miami Florida, where he worked in hotel management for 10 years.  After returning to Pennsylvania, he worked in the Mortgage Industry for 30 years.
He had a way of lighting up a room, and his specialty was creating memories with family and friends. His interests included golf, hunting, archery, the outdoors, and also the occasional drink and cigar. The only thing bigger than his personality was his heart, and the phrase "work hard and play hard" never described someone more perfectly than Rick.

He is survived by a son David Fields of Macungie and his wife Elizabeth (Miller) Fields; daughter Melissa (Fields) Carbone and husband Tommy Carbone of Port Jefferson Station, NY; grandchildren Caitlin, Chloe, Jordan, Ellie and Alivia.

Services: memorial at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton Street, Allentown with Rev. Rodney Wells officiating. Visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 in the funeral home.  A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
