Michael K. Funk, Sr.

Michael K. Funk Sr. of Fleetwood passed away Sunday evening, Mar. 26 at his home with his wife and family alongside. He was the husband of Frances Cortez Funk. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Jo Ann (Marks) and the late Edward ("Marty") Funk.
He worked at East Penn Manufacturing (Deka Batteries) and prior to that at NTN/BCA Bearing Manufacturing in Lititz for 30 years. He was an avid golfer and loved the Philadelphia Flyers.
 
Survivors: wife Frances; son Michael Funk Jr. and wife Amanda of Wyomissing; daughters Kimiko Palumbo and husband Shawn of Oxford, Pa. and Michaela E. Funk of Elizabethtown; sisters Donna (Funk) Prince and husband David ("Sonny"), and Tamra "Tammy" (Funk) Ratliff and husband James, both of Lancaster; grandchildren Ella, Alannah and Brayden Michael; nieces, nephews, great nieces and a great-great nephew. In addition, Michael had the support from family and friends known as #teamfunky.
 
Services: Memorial visitation for family and friends on Friday evening Mar. 31 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Services Saturday, Apr. 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Community Evangelical Church, 51 Green Valley Rd., Sinking Spring, Pa. with pastor Mike Snedeker officiating. Calling hour beginning 9:00 Saturday at the church. Urn placement following at Berks County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home of Allentown.
