Usha Kannan

Usha Kannan, 69, of Allentown, died May 8.  She emigrated from India to the United States fifty years ago, in 1967, with her husband, the late Dr. Vugranam C. Kannan.  Usha and her husband first lived in California, where her husband received his doctorate from the University of California, and then moved to New Jersey, Ohio, and Oregon, and finally settled in Pennsylvania in 1980.  Usha enjoyed knitting, making jewelry, and collecting antiques.
 
She is survived by five sons and two daughters-in-law: Niranjan of Arizona; Naresh (Rebecca) of New York; Bharat Raj of Japan; Dev (Cynthia) of Allentown; and Nikil of New York; and eight grandchildren: Nicole, Thomas, Luke and Nicholas (Dev and Cynthia); Rani, Gaia, Viktor and Margot (Naresh and Rebecca)

Private services for Usha and her late husband will be held on May 27th.
