Gloria Jean Anderson-Worth

Sister Gloria Jean Anderson-Worth, was born born in Americus Georgia on June 23rd 1951 to the late Eddie Lee and Mattie Lee Carter. She was preceded in death by a son Larry LaShaun Blue, sisters Daisy Carter, and Mary Etta Barner, and brothers James Henry Carter and Dexter Barner, and one grandson Lamar Hamilton. Gloria confessed her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Big Bethel Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia. After graduating high school, Gloria relocated to Newark New Jersey for a short stay. While in Newark, Gloria gave birth to her first beautiful son, Larry LaShaun Blue. She then relocated to Allentown Pennsylvania where her two beautiful daughters, Erica and Krysle, were born. She has remained in Allentown until her death. Gloria attended Allentown Business College. She then became employed at Western Electric for many years. Afterwards she began a career with the Pillsbury Company where she remained until her retirement. Gloria became a member of Union Baptist Church under the leadership of  Reverend Benjamin T. Hailey Sr. After uniting with the church, Gloria realized she must occupy until Jesus comes, therefore she became involved in the kitchen ministry. The word of God says " A merry heart doeth good like a medicine"  (Prov. 17:22) and Gloria brought much laughter to the ministry. Gloria was called home to celebrate her life with the Lord on Saturday, July 29, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Karuth Worth II, two daughters, Erica C. Hampton and Krystle T. White-Dawson (Tyreese), Karuth Worth III, Jordan D. Moore, Michael S. Worth and Daelynn Moore; Sisters; Corliss A. Tate (Clarence), Apostle Dr. Carol Seay, Sara B. Floyd, Carmen Carter and Brenda Carter; Brothers Willie F. Barner, Ronald Barner and Tyrone C. Barner. Devoted nephew James (Jamie) Carter; Six grandchildren; devoted grandsons T'Rell and Damien,  Brianna, Shawn, Eric,and Kahlil and great grandson Ty'Zier.

Services: viewing from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Friday at Union Baptist Church, 302 N. 6th St., Allentown, with calling hour 10-11 in the church. Interment at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
