Matthew S. Sallit
12/19/2018

Matthew Steven Sallit, 33, of Whitehall passed away on December 19th, 2018 at his home.  Matthew grew up on the East side of Allentown, Pa. surrounded by a nurturing family who loved him dearly. He was a great man with a gentle and kind soul who was loved by all, and whose wisdom can never be matched. He was the sweetheart of the Sallit family.

Matthew graduated in 2003 from Dieruff High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University. From the second he was old enough, Matthew helped his father run the family business.

Matthew’s most joyous moments were spent with his family, friends, his soon to be fiance Helena, and his loyal dog Ace. He was a celebrity at family gatherings and loved cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and bantering with his friends over fantasy football. He is survived by his father and mother, Issa and Sovyana Sallit; older brother Fahed and sister-in-law Jessica; younger siblings Ian and Samantha; and large extended Sallit and Hamoui families.  He was an incredible uncle to Quinn, Mason and all the children in the family who adored him.  Matthew always cared for and put others before himself, carrying the weight of his family on his shoulders. He was fearless in the way he lived, but most of all he was fearless in the way he showed love to the people he cared for. You didn’t just hear the words “I love you”, you felt it when he said it and whenever you were with him. He was the epitome of a son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Matthew had a heart of gold and he will be deeply missed.
