Stephen A. Watty

Stephen A. Watty, 60, of Bethlehem, died January 21, 2019 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Peterborough, England, he was the son of Isabel (Cowen) Hassick and the late Alexander Watty.

Stephen was a retired Corrections Officer at the Lehigh County Prison. Prior to that, he served 13 years in the United States Air Force.  Stephen enjoyed playing guitar, going to billiard halls and watching American and English football.

Stephen is survived by his daughter Tammy Watty; son Alexander Watty and wife Maria, all of Bethlehem; step-daughter Alisha Wismer of Bethlehem and step-son T.J. Wismer of Nazareth; grandchildren Olivia, Zoë and Nolan.

Services:  3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 27th at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St. Allentown. Viewing will be held from 1:30-3:30 prior to services where his family will receive friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Stephen’s name to the American Heart Association.
