Donald A. Zweifel

Donald A. Zweifel, 79, of Allentown, died Friday at Valley Manor Nursing Home, Coopersburg.  He was the husband of Barbara (Void) Zweifel, they were married for 40 years last April.  Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Vernon and Clara (Barthold) Zweifel.  He worked as a group leader at General Electric for 39 years, and also worked at American Olean Tile and the Souderton Mennonite Homes before retiring in 2007.

Mr. Zweifel was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean war.  He was a member of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, Allentown.  Donald loved fishing and the outdoors, was a wonderful husband and loved his family and seeing his grandchildren.
Survivors:  wife Barbara; sons Chris and wife Ruthie of East Earl, Pa. and Mark and wife Debbie of Coopersburg; brother Michael of Coopersburg and sister Dolores of Allentown; 8 grandchildren and a great grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Services:  viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday; Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, 1151 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, 18103 followed by funeral service at 11:00 in the chapel.  Interment at Chestnut Hill Church Cemetery, Coopersburg.  The Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home is assisting the family.
